Mr. André GLEMIN has developed a new lever system which he adapted first on koras. The concept was mainly to use a much lighter material, which promoted the sound of the instrument without altering it. This work was produced and exhibited at the Dinan Celtic harp festival of 2014. Since then, the koras manufactured at Keur Moussa Abbey have all been equipped with these new levers. Celtic harp makers have been seduced by this new lever. For both koras and harps, the benefit lies in the weight and the sound. Now, It is safe to say without a doubt, that after life-size tests, the lightness of the lever favors the sound quality of the kora and the harp.
